Music and soundscapes are subliminal feeds to my work and for me there’s a correlation in the way I make work with the way sound, tone and texture are layered in the composition of music and sound. Using a process I call three dimensional painting these pieces are a way for me to visually interpret my responses to colour, texture, pattern and sound. 

 

The making is an organic process - a subconscious collecting of images, colours and textures and music or sound often plays a part in that. I re-create my original artwork as discs of printed and painted

acetates and fabrics with additional mixed media. Each disc is hand cut, assembled and pinned into a laser cut frame to create the finished piece.
