Something that comes from experimentation and grows over time. It's like mapping questions that pop up in the making of other things and it's a way I’ve found for taming my monkey mind when it gets distracted, capturing sparks of ideas and thoughts that need pinning down - literally ! - before they disappear. I love it as a way of working because it can’t be planned, it’s organic and it’s about the serendipity that happens when you mix materials. Over time the collection of ideas becomes a piece of work in it’s own right that can generate a hundred other ideas and so it grows…..
